Evidence snapshot: 13 October 2026; local baseline: Steam game data. June–July recordings have unknown builds. Public statements below are not mapped to exact builds.
Game identity and release context
Playsect’s Loop Dungeon - Incremental: full-game AppID 4621970, AppID 4744780, unrelated to the same-name mobile game. The URL may display the parent store page.
At this snapshot, the store listed 19 October 2026 as the planned release, not a completed launch. The itch.io HTML5 version is a separate platform.
Confirmed official milestones
6 June 2026 — availability announcement
The announcement describes short runs, automatic hero attacks, manual click damage, recruitment, skill synergies and Prestige with permanent upgrades.
Mechanics: combat and getting started.
10 July 2026 — background running and auto-pickup
The official patch says the game continues progressing when its window is not in focus. It also adds an automatic reward-pickup skill, adjusts skill-node colors for contrast and improves hero pathfinding to reduce detours. The patch also includes stability changes.
The older background-stop report predates this patch. Scavenger requires every room enemy to be defeated; it is an upgrade, not an established new-save default.
The patch does not establish offline income, automatic retries or skill autocast. See auto-loot and background play.
Developer replies are narrower than patch notes
10 October 2026: the developer explains that the opening is slow, later stages are faster and hero skill use is the real challenge; no balance formula is supplied.
11 October 2026: “Player suggestions” receives “Skill tree UI updated!” This confirms a UI update statement, not fixes for every earlier complaint or added autocast/speed controls.
Historical reports worth keeping in context
| Report or request | What the evidence says | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Blight is difficult early on | June-era discussion includes complaints and suggestions involving healing or protection. | A current damage formula, unanimous player opinion or a tested best build. |
| The ends after Boss 2 | July reports describe Continue offering wishlist/main-menu choices. | The current build’s exact playable endpoint or the full game’s endpoint. |
| Add auto-loop | A player requested it; the developer said the feedback would be considered. | That automatic new runs were implemented. |
| Add skill autocast or 1–4× combat speed | Players requested these features. | That the requests describe available controls. |
Three level configurations and full-version skill locks do not establish three playable stages. See Saves and compatibility.
How to compare an older guide with your save
Match platform, edition, date and build before applying a recorded route.
Use the current purchase panel for costs, reset warning for Prestige and continuation screen for stage limits. Save-inheritance text does not guarantee a transfer or compensation offer.
