Blight reduction, healing and temporary immunity are different effects. Match the upgrade to steady attrition, sudden hits or low health at the boss.

Reference: in-game descriptions. June–July 2026 advice has unknown builds; damage interactions and purchase order are not play-tested.

First, identify where the run breaks down

Compare health loss in ordinary rooms, sudden enemy hits and remaining health at the boss.

  • Steady attrition: inspect the Blight Ward descriptions and healing options. Do not assume a general defense upgrade is Blight resistance.
  • A sudden lethal hit: check the encounter and your combat tools. Improving ongoing recovery alone does not establish protection against that hit.
  • Reaching the boss nearly empty: address the earlier attrition before judging your boss damage. Arriving with more health and killing faster are separate improvements to compare.

Blight Ward: reduce the named damage source

Blight Ward and Blight Ward II–IV reduce Blight damage in HP per second, not by a stated percentage.

Check availability in the skill tree; later tiers may be version-restricted.

Priest and Regenerate: restore health

Cleric unlocks Priest, who heals the whole party. Regenerate I and II increase that healing (牧師 and 重生 I/II in Traditional Chinese).

Healing restores HP rather than reducing Blight. It is not established to cancel all Blight at every stage.

See heroes for party details and resources for upgrade currencies.

Invincibility Aura: a temporary skill window

Invincibility Aura grants whole-team immunity during casting; see skills. It is temporary, and its cooldown field alone is not the full interval between uses.

Early players mentioned healing, Warcry and invincibility against Blight. Warcry is not thereby established to reduce Blight directly.

A practical upgrade-and-retry routine

  1. Note the failure point and health remaining in a repeatable stage.
  2. Choose explicit Blight reduction, healing or damage according to that failure.
  3. Check the node’s effect, cost, prerequisites and version lock.
  4. Retry with similar clicking and skill use; compare health at the same point.

June–July players favored Stage 1 clears over dying at the Stage 2 boss; no equal-condition test establishes optimal farming. See the first-stage historical walkthrough and current stages.

When ordinary upgrades are no longer your next step

For a long-term reset, see Prestige. Read its warning before confirming; retained purchases and an optimal reset threshold are not established.
